Brian Njenga’s Story
During a Tuesday charity event in Nyeri, street children were served bread and milk as part of a community outreach. Amid the gathering, a boy named Brian Njenga boldly declared, "I want to go to school." His words caught the attention of Eric, who challenged him to visit his office the following day, an invitation meant to test Brian’s determination.
True to his word, Brian arrived on Wednesday, accompanied by three fellow street children. After a heartfelt conversation, Eric took them to Thunguma, Brian’s hometown, in search of a school willing to admit him. The first institution declined, but hope was restored at St. Peter Thunguma, where Brian was warmly accepted. They also visited a nearby children’s home, which agreed to provide him with shelter and support.
Today, Brian Njenga is thriving, currently in Form 3, preparing to enter Form 4 in 2025. His journey has been further uplifted by a kind-hearted woman who partnered with Mindset Initiative to sponsor half of his school fees, ensuring his dream of education continues to unfold.
